The Quantum Class ships also have an indoor fun zone known as The SeaPlex that includes a bumper car pavilion. When the bumper cars aren't in use, the space transforms into a roller rink, which is also used as a "circus school" with lessons on a flying trapeze. There's also a British pub, a karaoke lounge, a Latin-themed nightspot and — located one deck up in a balcony area — the line's signature Schooner Bar. Some ships also have comedy clubs, and there's always live music in multiple venues nightly. We're particularly fond of the two-deck-high Music Halls on Quantum Class vessels.

Each Royal Caribbean ship also has a jogging track, which is available to use throughout the day at no additional cost. These drinks are available at a number of locations onboard, such as Cafe Promenade and the Windjammer. Water can be found at any bar onboard as well, and it’s safe to drink the tap water onboard, as it is of high quality. In addition to the gratuities listed earlier, there are opportunities to give crew members an additional tip for excellent service.

Everything on the Cruise Planner can be canceled up to 48 hours before your cruise begins. Therefore, if you purchase a shore excursion for $200 and later see the price has dropped to $150, you can cancel and rebook the excursion with no penalty. If you want to reserve a specialty restaurant or other cruise add-on with friends and family not sailing in your stateroom, be sure to link your reservations together. You can link reservations together with the reservation number and last name of the guest who is in a separate cabin.

During the winter, the line will move even more of its ships to the Caribbean and send a few to Asia and Australia. Royal Caribbean sails almost everywhere in the world, but its heaviest presence is in the Caribbean and Europe. In a typical summer, the line will deploy about half its ships on sailings to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda while sending another seven or eight ships to Europe.
Guests can buy beer, wine, and cocktails at several bars and lounges spread across the ship. For a more indulgent beverage experience, Royal Caribbean provides a variety of drink packages purchasable before or during your cruise. These cover unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including mocktails, premium coffees and teas, fresh-squeezed juices, a complete selection of beers, fruit juices, and water. The Refreshment Package suits those desiring a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, while the Deluxe Beverage Package caters to those who prefer an extensive range of alcoholic beverages. We also offer shore excursions in every port — all at an extra charge — but that doesn't mean you can't explore independently. There is a charge for premium experiences, such as Thrill Waterpark (with 13 waterslides); zipline; Up, Up & Away helium balloon ride; Coco Beach Club®; as well as cabana and daybed rentals.
What Activities Cost Extra on Royal Caribbean Ships?
What’s included in a Royal Caribbean cruise is one of the most common questions that I get asked in the DMs on my Instagram page. For guests keen on keeping active during their cruise, numerous options are available. The fitness center, equipped with cutting-edge apparatus like treadmills, ellipticals, and weight machines, keeps your workout routine uninterrupted. Fitness classes including yoga, Pilates, and spinning are also available. The ship’s lounge presents the perfect setting to unwind after a bustling day on board.

Speaking of which, a highlight of Star Class is the dedicated services of the Royal Genie. Beyond that, from 10 pm to 2 am, there’s a group sitting service available, which comes with a fee of $7/hour per child. The breakdown of this charge can be reviewed on the purchase receipt. These gratuities are automatically added to a guest’s onboard account, which the cruise line then uses to distribute to crew members.
Each port of call offers unique experiences, whether it’s basking under the sun on a stunning beach or engaging in the local culture. Royal Caribbean cruises are celebrated for their extensive range of entertainment and activities, ensuring an enjoyable voyage for everyone. Whether it’s thrilling outdoor adventures you seek, or you’d prefer to relax indoors, the ship has something for you. For a more laid-back dining experience, Windjammer Cafe is an excellent choice, serving an extensive variety of food options. If you’re in for a quick bite, Cafe Promenade offers coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. The most economical choice, Interior cabins, offers comfort without a window or balcony.

Here’s a breakdown of what is and is not included in your cruise fare. If you’re going on a Royal Caribbean cruise, you might be wondering what aspects of the cruise experience are included in the cruise fare. There are a lot of components to any cruise vacation and it can seem overwhelming to distinguish between what is and is not included in the base fare. You can also reserve individual meals at specialty restaurants for lunch or dinner on the Cruise Planner. Whether you use a travel agent or not, make sure to maximize your credit card spend when paying for the cruise by using a credit card that offers extra points for travel purchases. This could be the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, which offers 3 Ultimate Rewards points per dollar on travel and dining (excluding the annual $300 travel credit).
At Basecamp, you can refuel between adventures, choosing among a variety of food windows popping out delicious provisions. At Pier 7, you can look forward to plenty of relaxed vibes paired with beachside bites — think mango shrimp tostadas and surf 'n' turf tacos. Though these restaurants are not complimentary offerings, they are absolutely worth a visit, especially if you're one to crave tacos at any moment. This includes the casual, family-friendly Surfside Eatery buffet and Surfside Bites, your go-to for sweet and salty snacks.
There used to be several packages, including a cheaper one that started at around $10 per day, but that’s changed now that the faster Starlink internet has been installed across the fleet. Our innovative chefs will take your palate around the world with a range of complimentary dining options. 150 Central Park offers a refined dining experience for guests seeking something special. This elegant restaurant presents a rotating six-course tasting menu featuring locally sourced ingredients that vary with the seasons.
Your cruise fare includes your accommodation in a stateroom of the selected category that you booked. If your cruise includes a visit to Royal Caribbean’s private Bahamian island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, then many of the activities are free of charge, but some have an extra fee. Until 2018, Royal Caribbean used to offer babysitting in your stateroom but this service has been discontinued. However, for kids aged 3 to 11, the Adventure Ocean kids’ club is open until 10pm for free, or 2am for an extra fee. Under 3s can attend the Royal Babies and Royal Tots clubs until midnight.
